The City of Bonita Springs Invites the Public to the Banyan Square/Splash Pad Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Posted on 10/22/2026
The City of Bonita Springs is pleased to announce the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the Banyan Square/ Splash Pad, a new recreational amenity designed to provide families and children with a fun and welcoming place to cool off and enjoy the outdoors.
The new splash pad brings together 74 lights and nozzles to deliver an engaging experience throughout the day and evening. During daytime “play fountain” hours, water sprays reach up to six feet. For evening performances, water surges up to 20 feet through nozzles that can be controlled individually or in groups, producing dynamic spray effects and sculptural water patterns. RGBW lighting, controlled via DMX, illuminates the water with rich color for dramatic nighttime shows choreographed to music. The display is synchronized with 54 additional lights on the banyan tree and four on the oak tree. Four 360-degree speakers positioned around the fountain’s perimeter complete the immersive experience.
The first fountain show has been choreographed for the City’s Happy Haunts Halloween Stroll. Guests can see a 10-minute spectacular Halloween show nightly during the city’s Happy Haunts Stroll October 22nd- October 31st. To ensure water quality and safety, the splash pad utilizes an integrated filtration and chlorination system comparable to those found in community pools.
The ribbon cutting will take place on Thursday, October 29th, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at 27381 Old 41 Road, Bonita Springs, FL 34135.
The project reflects the City's continued commitment to creating inviting public spaces and enhancing recreational opportunities for the community. The ribbon cutting ceremony will include remarks from City officials, followed by the official ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of the Banyan Square parcel. The new space is glowing with immersive lighting and fun Halloween Décor. The City of Bonita Springs welcomes the community to attend and celebrate this exciting addition to the City.
