Bonita Springs, October 12th, 2024 –  The City of Bonita Springs announces the reopening of Parks and Recreation facilities following the impacts of Hurricane Milton.

 

The reopened sites have had thorough staff assessments and safety inspections. Staff continue to work throughout the weekend so that sites in addition to the list below can potentially reopen. Continue to monitor the parks website for more information. The website also lists the addresses, available amenities, and hours of operation for the reopened sites.

 

These locations will be open to the public with regular operating hours starting today, Oct. 12:

Bark n Play Dog Park

Skate Park

 

These locations will be open to the public with regular operating hours starting today, Oct. 12:

Community Park Outdoor Futsal/Basketball Pavilion

Community Park Tennis Courts

Community Park Playground

Community Park Disc Golf Course

Depot Park Playground (restrooms remain closed)

Riverside Park Bandshell (restrooms remain closed)

Island Park

Bonita Nature Place (Trails remain closed)

Oak Creek Preserve

River Park  (boardwalks/boat dock/ Kayak launch remain closed)

 

Bonita Springs Recreation Center will reopen Monday, Oct. 14th for regular operating hours.
