The City of Bonita Springs Will Host a Public Meeting for the
West Terry Street Improvements Project
Thursday, November 14, 2024 at the Bonita Springs City Hall
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – November 6, 2024– The City of Bonita Springs West Terry Street Improvements Project is underway. This initiative creates a new sidewalk along the south side of West Terry Street, extending from US 41 (Tamiami Trail) to Old 41 Road. The proposed project aims to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility by providing a continuous pedestrian path on the south side of the corridor. The new design will also incorporate a closed drainage system with curb and gutter to efficiently manage stormwater.
The City invites the public to attend a public information meeting to learn about the design and provide the opportunity for the public to express their views about the project. Project display boards will be available for the public to view, and city staff and the project team will be available for the public to speak with one-on-one. The formal presentation will begin at 4:30 p.m.
Date: Thursday, November 14, 2024
Time: 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Place: City of Bonita Springs Council Chambers
9101 Bonita Beach Road SE
Bonita Springs, FL 34135
The project will compliment the existing shared-use path completed in 2022 on the north side of West Terry Street. The existing improvements on the north side consists of a 12 ft. shared-use path with a 14 ft. landscape/utility buffer, a 7 ft. buffered bike lane with six mid-block crossings with flashing beacons, significantly improving the corridor for both cyclists and pedestrians.
