Council has approved a 1 year renewal for the Lion’s Club Farmer’s Market. In 2017, City Council approved a one-year agreement for the Lion’s Club to hold a farmer’s market November 1st – April 30th. There is an option to renew the agreement for five additional one-year periods upon mutual agreement. The Lion’s Club will be exercising it’s fourth renewal option per it’s agreement with the city for the October 21, 2021 through September 30, 2022, time-period.
The terms of the extension provide for a once weekly farmer’s market to be held at the Lemon Tree Lot with volunteers assisting and organizing the farmers. This Farmer’s Market is listed as a community farmers market by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The Lion’s Club uses the funds from the market to provide funding to the Bonita Lions Eye Clinic, scholarship programs and other local charities.
